The history of Chiusa Grossa Montalcino

The history of the Chiusa Grossa farm began thirty years ago, when Bruno Biscotto discovered the beauty of Montalcino and the uniqueness of its splendid lands.
The meeting with a sharer, a man of great wisdom, who worked those lands as well as his parents before him, gives birth to a passion for wine, starting a wonderful adventure continued over the years also thanks to the constant support of his son.

In 2017 the decision to open up to marketing, with the involvement of the sommelier daughters Emanuela and Elisa.
Thus was born a new label, at the base of which there is above all a profound respect for viticulture and oenology, in the knowledge that one does not improvise farmers: the wine is simplicity and complexity at the same time, it is the fruit of a long journey hardly linear.

The Red of Montalcino, the company's first product to be put on the market in 2018, is characterized by two deeply united souls, those of the vineyards owned by the company, from which the grapes come: one in Sant'Angelo in Colle and the other in Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
A blend between two "crus" that becomes a metaphor for a family bond.

In 2023 The first vintage of Chiusa Grossa's Brunello di Montalcino has also been released, which has gone alongside the Rosso, enriching the offer of the company's products.

The creation of the wines was born in close collaboration with the oenologist Dr. Francesca Arquint, who enthusiastically accepted the challenge of launching a new company, making her experience available also in the international sector.
