Wine is simplicity and complexity at the same time, it is the result of a long, hardly linear path.

Sant'Eugenio vineyard
The Sant'Eugenio vineyard is located about 2 km from the medieval village of Castelnuovo dell'Abate and the beautiful Sant'Antimo Abbey.
The vineyard is located on a hilly ridge inserted within a dense agricultural mosaic of vineyards and olive groves.
The soil is mainly clayey and sandy. Mount Amiata, which stands out on the horizon, is a decisive and characterizing factor in the final result of winemaking, thanks to its updrafts which significantly affect the area's microclimate.

Chiusa Grossa vineyard
Close to the medieval village of Sant'Angelo in Colle, along the Sesta road, near the company centre, is the Chiusa Grossa vineyard.
Oaks and holm oaks, with their rich undergrowth, partially surround the vineyard, characterizing the microclimate of the area. The soil is sandstone.
The ridge of the hill, on which the vineyard develops, thanks to its orientation also guarantees excellent sunshine and exposure to the currents coming from the area of Mount Amiata.
Our cellar
The farm takes its name from the homonymous toponym in which the estate, the cellar and one of the two vineyards are located.
Localized nel southern side of the municipality of Montalcino on the local road of Sesta, which connects the hamlet of Sant'Angelo in Colle with that of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, where the other vineyard of the company is located in the locality of Sant'Eugenio.
The land of Chiusa Grossa until 1787 was part of the Tenuta di S. Angelo in Colle and Montenero, heritage of the Society of Jesus, whose right of dominion was ceded in 1795 by the Ecclesiastical Patrimony to S. Maria della Croce.
Subsequently, the possessions in the locality of S. Angelo pass first into the hands of the Piccolomini Bellanti and then into those of Nozzoli and from 1803 to various levels.
Our cellar was built in 2017 with a project that respects the characteristics and materials of the place.
Despite its small size, it has everything you need to produce and label our wines in the traditional way.
